The
first writing essay in my class consisted of writing a narrative describing a
personal experience that occurred to me before my twelfth birthday. Although I
am not very old, that is still a very long time ago for me. However, I was able to recall many special
childhood memories when I started thinking more about the question. I realized
that many of my special memories were categorized by whether the event occurred
in the city or in the rural country. I
chose the least popular but most important event of my childhood. When I was seven years old, my parents
decided to relocate the family from the crowded city where I was born to a very
peaceful town at the beginning of the Central Andean Cordillera. The experiences
of having a new house and new school were very relevant to my overall
development. I will never forget the
years that I lived in the Cordillera because it held many special memories for
me. Today, as an adult, I know that my
parents made the right decision by moving our family to this quaint wonderful
town in the Cordillera.
