Before
I began college, my writing was difficult to comprehend because my first
language is Spanish. Specifically, the written context of Spanish is vastly
different than English. I determined by
studying writing techniques that I consistently utilized too many prepositional
phrases. The overuse of prepositional phrases made my writing too wordy. Before I began college, I was unable to write
a paragraph without making a grammatical error.
However, my English classes have been valuable because it is much easier
now to review my ideas for my draft without disrupting my creativity. Although I have a long way to go to
accomplish my writing goals, I plan to continue to take English classes to
improve my writing.
