Cinthya Rivera reviewed my Shrek draft. Cinthya provided valuable and honest feedback. Cinthya’s
primary recommendation to me was to extend includes my conclusion. In question number four of the peer review
rubric,” Where in the essay could the author better develop his or her ideas by
using examples, giving more details, or quoting directly from the film or class
notes on the theoretical model? Regarding this question, Cinthya asked me if the
traditional beliefs mentioned in paragraph three were beliefs in the Robin Hood
era or traditional beliefs in modern society? My Robin Hood singing statement
“But I’m not greedy. I rescue pretty damsels, man I am good”. There is a little
doubt that he believes that all pretty women are helpless and need a hero to
save them from the world. In response to
Cinthya’s question, I believe that American women take equality for granted but
women in other cultures are still fighting for those rights. Currently, many women prefer to be treated as
objects as reflected in magazine covers with scantily clad women. After additional
consideration of Cinthya’s question, I am certain that these traditional
beliefs still exist in modern society.
