The Interruptors

“The Interruptors” The documentary detailed violence in Chicago. This documentary changed my point of view because I did not realize that many of the children involved in gang activity were following in the footsteps of their family members.  Specifically, the local Chicago new would show parents crying when their child was killed so I never suspected that any parents or other family members would be involved in introducing these younger children to this dangerous life style

     I also recommended the documentary to my husband to watch because I found the story very compelling. Specifically, I did not realize that the African American and Hispanic community were segregated based upon socio-economic neighborhoods in Chicago. 

My Career Goals

I am almost finished with Waubonsee Community College. I will continue my education at North Central College in the fall of 2015. I plan to study international business because I genuinely enjoy business and traveling.  I dream of the day, that I can apply what I have learned in the classroom to the work environment. I would like to study in England through North Central’s study abroad program, which will allow me to spend an entire semester in England.  I would like to take classes to improve my computer skills because my goal is to avoid returning to a regular 9 to 5 job.   The primary reason why I am returning to school is to have more flexibility with respect to my employment options.

The Experience of Developing and Writing P.3

Today I am very disappointed with my project because I worked very hard on my project but my grade was not good. It was very difficult for me to write eighteen hundred words based on a short Shrek movie scene. My goal was to compare fairy tale with real life situations but my professor did not find my work persuasive. I guess everyone needs to learn from a bad experience and learn how to turn a bad experience into a positive lesson. At this point, I am rewriting my project paper with the hope that my professor will provide me an opportunity to correct my mistakes. I really would like to improve my score because I spent a substantial amount of time on the project. I am confident that I can do a better work.
